This is for the ones drowning in their own life. For the lost, the struggling, and the ones sitting in the rain alone. Rock out because your still alive. Rock out because you have another day to find the meaning of your life. Rock out because you've made it this far and have accomplished a lot. Shake the dust and rock out. Because in with all the bad there is still some good out there. And your life is worth living.

Ordinary World
Living Without
Meet Veronica. She is an 18 year old girl struggling through high school. Her mind is filled with transparent things she doesn't understand. She wakes up late, goes to school, goes to work, comes home and does hours of homework and goes to bed. She loves cars. She rarely goes on dates. Nothing exciting ever happens. One day as she was walking through the parking lot to her car another car came speeding out of no where and the next thing she knew she was waking up in the hospital. After she realized what was going on she noticed she was missing a leg. Her right leg. How will she ever drive?
What will she do differently after such a life changing event?
How long will it take for things to get back to normal? Will they ever?

shake the dust
this is for the skinny boys.
this is for the girl crying at 3 am.
this is for the rape victims.
for the single mothers with no one to lean on. shake the dust.
this is for the orphans and the neglected children growing up too fast.
this is for the misunderstood.
for the 17 year old girl saying goodbye to her mother dying of leukemia. shake the dust.
this is for the hopeless.
for the ones going through life but not living a minute of it.
for the discouraged school teacher who thinks no one is listening. shake the dust.
this is for the girl with scars hidden under her clothes.
this is for all the red-headed bearded guys.
for the parks and the hobos who live there.
Shake the dust.
this is for the one sitting in the rain
make sure that when the sun rises tomorrow you are there watching it. Wherever there may be. Breath it in, let it out. shake the dust.
feel the wind on your face and know you're still alive so start living. step back into life with a smile on your face and your soul open.
then speak. stand. shake the dust into the air and let it fall to the ground, kick it back up and watch it fall again. because life is worth living.

Ghandi
Sometimes i smile at jokes that were said yesterday
i finally get it
I keep forgetting to think until it's late
late sits on the edge of too late
I wonder why time goes faster in the early morning
like the world is running late
We walk around keeping ourselves under strict surveillance
abiding by social law
When will we own ourselves completely?
the moon is bright
and in the shadows we are us
and in secret conversations we send our guards home to be with their families
This is the true light
the light of who we really are
Who i am
And tonight is not the last time I'll see the light.
